Replacement of Mercer County Bridge
CRS constructed the replacement Bridge #250.3 as a single-span steel girder structure with a composite reinforced concrete deck supported by a precast reinforced concrete substructure founded on cast-in-place reinforced concrete footings. The structure includes precast reinforced concrete approach slabs. The parapets consist of one 42-inch-tall aesthetic concrete bridge parapet and one 42-inch-tall barrier parapet. The completed roadway cross section at the bridge consists of two (2) 11-foot travel lanes, two (2) 6-foot shoulders, and one (1) 5-foot sidewalk.
